May 2025 Work Party
The work party for 10th May 2025 consisted of 13 volunteers with nearly 70 hours of work being carried out in warm spring sunshine. There were 3 new volunteers for this work party and is was observed that there were a lot of walkers and cyclists enjoying the Dava Way while work was being carried out. The work party was very productive with the planned work being progressed as follows:
- Dallas Dhu access ramp improvements were progressed to near completion. Fencing painted and path surface widened and smoothed with quarry material.
- South of the Longley Farm crossing the drainage ditch arisings from last month’s work party was removed to a designated site near the Balvlair crossing.
Other points to note:
- Further drainage works required south of Longley to remove remaining ditch arisings
- Dallas Dhu ramp surface improvements to be completed
