September 2026 Work Party
The work party for 12th September 2026 consisted of 8 volunteers who carried out 50 hours of work improving the path surface and cutting grass. Due to the efforts of the volunteers the work carried out was as follows:
- 8 tonnes of quarry dust was loaded into trailers by hand and used to dust over the sub-base laid in May, south of Dava. All compacted with the wacker plate to make a smooth firm surface.
- The grass was cut on the  walkers’ bypass below Dava settlementÂ
Additional Works:
- The fallen over Dava railway station sign was recovered for repair and refurbishment.
Other points to note
- There are still some sections of loose surface stones that need to be smoothed over.
