August 2026 Work Party

The work party for 8th August 2026 consisted of 7 volunteers with over 60 hours of work being carried out in cool breeze weather. Due to the efforts of the volunteers the work carried out, was as follows:

• The high tree roots over the Dava Way south of the Huntley’s Cave Crossing, were covered with 4 tonnes of sub-base and smoothed over with 2 tonnes of quarry dust. All compacted with the wacker plate to make a smooth firm surface.

Additional works:

• There was no additionall work carried out

Other points to note:

• The secondary task of removing rock fall in the ditches south of Lynmacgregor will be carried out on a future work party.
