April 2025 Work Party
The work party for 19th April 2025 consisted of 7 volunteers with over 55 hours of work being carried out in the spring sunshine. The work party was very productive with the planned work being progressed as follows:
- South of the Longley Farm crossing the ditches were cleared on both sides. 100m on west side of the cutting using a micro digger and 80m on the east side .
- 8 tonnes of ditch arisings from the west side were removed to a designated site near the Balvlair crossing.
Other points to note:
- Further drainage works required south of Longley to remove ditch arisings
- Investigate if existing railway drainage pipes can be found and cleared south of Longley Crossing
