October 2024 Work Party

The work party for 12th October 2024 consisted of 14 volunteers with over 90 hours of work being carried out. A well attended work party, with another two new volunteers coming along. The work party was very successful with all of the planned work at the Auchlochan farm crossing and the Bantrach and Aucheorn Cuttings being either completed or progressed in good weather conditions as follows:

• The muddy puddle at the Auchlochan Farm Crossing was drained and infilled with quarry material.
• Clearing of overgrown drainage ditch in the Aucheorn Cutting was completed.
• Over 3 tonnes of extracted ditch vegetation was removed from the path sides using the tipping trailer.

Additional unplanned Work:

• No additional work was carried out.

Other points to note:

• No injuries or near misses were reported.

• Remaining extracted ditch vegetation in the Bantrach and Aucheorn Cuttings needs to be removed from the path sides.
